Things to do
With so many ways to enjoy our beautiful islands, the hardest part is deciding what to start with first. Wander white sand beaches with virtually no one on them, relax in a hammock as you watch the waves roll in, or get out on the lagoon or into the jungle interior to enjoy the many activities and adventures we offer. That's the beauty of our South Pacific destination - have a beach vacation, an active vacation, or somewhere in between.
We invented the colour blue.
Snorkelling, SUP and Sea Scooters
There are so many ways to explore our crystal clear lagoons to check out giant sea turtles and an array of tropical fish and coral reef.
These are a must do! You'll snorkel, have a fresh BBQ lunch, and enjoy live entertainment with coconuts, pareus (sarongs,) music, and some island laughter.
From tossing a line in the shallows or venturing into the deep blue, all year round is a good time to try your luck.
Enjoy amazing water clarity, steep oceanic drop offs and the diverse marine life that call our little paradise home.
Aitutaki Day Tour
If you're staying on the island of Rarotonga, but not spending the night in Aitutaki, take a day trip to Aitutaki for a lagoon cruise complete with snorkelling, a BBQ lunch, a tour of the island, and more. It's simply stunning.
Rarotonga boasts hiking trails for every fitness level. A must do for explorers is the Cross-Island Trek with the Te Rua Manga (The Needle) climb, and the Raemaru Track.
Feel the freedom of the islands by cruising around on e-bikes, bicycles, and scooters, or by joing a guided storytelling tour.
Thrill seekers will love getting off the beaten path with a variety of inland adventure tours from buggies to quad bikes and 4WD.
Rich in Culture
Experience an island night at a variety of resorts, or at a true cultural village like Highland Paradise or Te Vara Nui.
Visit a cultural village and learn about our customs and rich history of voyaging and tribal warfare.
Visit the Muri Night Markets, held four times a week, for affordable local eats and music. On Saturdays, wander the Punanga Nui Markets for entertainment, fresh food stalls, and organic coffee, as well as wonderful craft souvenirs.
